WRITING
Image 1

I am writing and illustrating a series of Fables, chronicling the adventures of Cloud Fairy Cirrus in the Lismore area. I have decided to share a tiny bit of the story with you...see Writing The work combines various creative aspirations: writing, sculpting, photography, illustrating, book making, etc. See Writing for samples of previous short stories.

I have been awarded the Artlinks Bursary 2009, to help me to bring this project to fruition! Rather excited about that!!! to say the least...! see artlinks

HATCHED

In 2006 I published my first book "Hatched" which follows my creative journey through the illness M.E. See Hatched for sample pages and where to buy a copy. See Reviews page for articles from various newspapers and magazines. The documentary accompanying the book is now to be see on You-Tube

"I haven’t loved a book this much in years. Beautifully designed, this is something really special and uplifting.   Dip into it during bleak moments and take away a thought, image or poem for the rest of the day". (Editors note in InterAction, magazine for M.E.)

PHOTOGRAPHY

Hot of the press: "Doors of Lismore"; a concertina booklet with 16 images of Lismore doors, from the castle to cottage doors, available in two sizes, comes in it's own sleeve. (Available at Lismore Gallery.) More titles to follow.

ME/CFS Art and Disability

See the MEme page for abstracts of my alter ego MEme's diaries and photos. This little stuffed toy, made it possible for me to visit friends and family, while housebound. A FUN read!!!

The ME page has information about ME/CFS, including the Fit to Fly DVD/Documentary (view it on You-Tube), book suggestions, yoga tapes and stories/blogs written by people living with ME.

Arts and Disability Ireland has created a great website:ADI

LAST BUT NOT LEAST!

A song close to my heart!

Today I went flying in my favorite patch of sky, I circled and I circled above the world so high, and I thought to myself, what a lovely lovely thing, to be up here with the clouds, to be flying right out loud on little wings.
