While the illness took hold of me in the lather months of 1998, I unwittingly started to create a visual diary of my experiences of day to day living with this debilitating condition of M.E. As my ability to write became impaired I started to make sketches of my existence, hopes and dreams. The medium of drawing, painting and later collages were all new to me. The works created were not necessarily works of art, but art that worked for me. The GALLERY and GALLERY 2 pages bring you along on this visual journey The MORE ART page, are works created after the publication of my book Hatched.

MEme is my "alter ego". This little stuffed penguin toy, (M.E. as in the illness M.E. and me as in the person me) made it possible for me to visit friends and family, while housebound. The person minding MEme for the duration of a visit kept a diary and took photos of the adventures they had together. An invaluable tool of comfort and fun! See the MEme page for abstracts of her diaires and photos.
